Ascesis

There is another body that, despite never having been seen or found, is perhaps the most famous, that of Christ, and perhaps because of this lack of a material body, it has been represented, abstracted and symbolized in different ways throughout the world. In a symbolic act of anthropophagy the Catholic church invites to eat of its meat by communing the ostia offered in its liturgy. These wafers are consumed as an act of faith for the redemption of the body - one's own - a pinnacle act of symbolic conceptualization of salvation through dogma. In parallel, the complexity of medicinal science is limited by the understanding of its adherents, becoming also the same dogma, to consume in a ritual way for the salvation of the body.
