Each body has its own geography, and experiences numerous inevitable mutations that relate the existence of a genealogy of its image and form. It is a territory that travels inherently to the individual, describes the constellation of their identity always appealing to the instability of itself. I work with fumage (smoked) on paper to make direct impressions of my own body,

 

I consider these images as a repertoire of the negative image of my own body. Fumage is the technique that has led me to reflect on the negative space, the body in a vacuum. When stamping my body on the smoked surface of the paper, what remains is a faithful impression of my skin in negative, the image is created by the absence of matter.
